Dim Sum with tofu

Ingredients

  • dumpling wrappers
  • 150 g. Tofu
  • 1 1/2 tbs. green onion ( finely chopped)
  • 1 1/2 tbs. carrot ( finely chopped )
  • 1 1/2 tbs. Shiitake mushrooms ( finely chopped)
  • 1 1/2 tbs. light soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbs. sweet soy sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. salt & pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. ginger
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic
  • Wonton skins ( trim the end out )

Dipping sauce

  • 1 tbs. sweet soy sauce
  • 1 tsp. Mirin
  • 1 1/2 tsp. rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp. light soy sauce

Direction

  1. Soaked dried Shiitake mushrooms in the water until softened.
  2. To make the filing crumbles the tofu to small pieces by hands.
  3. Finely shopped carrot, shiitake mushrooms, spring onions.
  4. Marinated the filing with soy sauce, sweet soy sauce, Mirin, ginger, garlic salt and pepper. Cover the bowl, set aside for 10 – 15 minutes.
  5. Lightly brush the steamer with oil or add chopped cabbages to prevent stick on the bottom.
  6. Wrap the filling 1 table spoon to the center of wonton skins.
  7. Steam Dim Sum over medium hight hear for 12- 15 minutes ( depending on the size )
  8. Enjoy Sim sum with the sauce.
